Privacy Policy
Last updated: 7 June 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how OCTOPODUS handles personal data across this website (octopodus.dev) and our applications. Each application also has its own privacy notice describing the data it specifically collects — see App-specific notices.
1. Who is the data controller
The data controller is Laurent Guglielmetti, entrepreneur individuel trading as OCTOPODUS (SIREN 491 489 654, SIRET 491 489 654 00047), registered at 21 rue Hippolyte Noiret, 08300 Rethel, France. You can reach us at contact@octopodus.dev or via our Contact page.
2. Data we collect on this website
This website is intentionally minimal. We use privacy-friendly, aggregate analytics (via Cloudflare) that do not use cookies to track you across sites and do not build advertising profiles. We collect:
- Aggregate, non-identifying usage statistics (page views, country, referrer, device type).
- Any information you choose to send us by email.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not run third-party advertising on this website.
3. Our applications
Each OCTOPODUS application has a dedicated privacy notice that mirrors its Google Play "Data safety" declaration. These describe exactly what that app collects, why, whether data is shared, and how it is secured:
No mobile applications have launched yet. Each app's privacy notice will be listed here when it goes live on Google Play.
4. Legal bases (GDPR)
Where the EU/UK GDPR applies, we process personal data on these bases: your consent (where requested), performance of a contract (to deliver a service you asked for), our legitimate interests (to operate, secure and improve our products), and legal obligations.
5. Sharing & processors
We share personal data only with service providers that help us operate our products (for example hosting and infrastructure), under agreements that require them to protect it. We do not sell your data. App-specific processors are listed in each app's privacy notice.
6. Retention
We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected, or as required by law, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
7. International transfers
Where data is processed outside the EEA/UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
8. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction or deletion of your personal data, object to or restrict certain processing, and request portability. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in France, the CNIL). To exercise your rights, contact us via our Contact page.
9. Children
Our products are not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
